What is the difference between a Certified Personal Trainer and a Strength and Conditioning coach?



If you are looking to simply get generally more fit, change your body composition or get functionally stronger, a personal trainer, certified by a reputable, respected organization is an invaluable tool on that journey that can help you cut months or years off reaching your goals.


However, if you are looking to train for competitive sports and develop dynamic stability, injury prevention protocols, and become more forceful and powerful at sport specific movements, a well certified strength and conditioning coach has a unique skill set to train athletes for athletics. We do not train athletes to become body builders or power lifters for its own sake. What we do train is sports power by training the energy systems for increased endurance, power lifting movements that train connected muscle systems along a kinetic chain rather than small isolated muscle groups that body builders and power lifters focus on.
